21st birthday

I just celebrated by my 21st birthday and I had my first legal drink! (drinks, I should say) I had a great time with my best friend and her family. Since I don’t have a family of my own my friends are my family. Hey, they are better than family. Don’t remember the last time I had this much fun. Just a few weeks ago I handed my id to a woman and she asked me how old I was and I said 19 with out thinking. She gave me a weird look and handed the id back to me. I didn’t realize until I was outside the buidling that I was 20 not 19 and in a few weeks I will be 21. It’s so odd that a whole year has gone by so fast. Pretty soon I will celebrate another birthday and then another. Although its hard to really point out when you realize that you are actually old I am sure the hints will come.
